The cat pictured above was one of Bill's first carvings (ca. 1981), and was a gift for his wife. In addition to its leather ears, it once had horse-hair whiskers that were playfully removed by his young daughter.

 

The roosters really demonstrate Bill's carving abilities, and a close look reveals numerous painstaking details.
